NEW for 2011 Renewal Commissions
According to final guidelines for Agent/Broker Compensation
from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), to be
eligible to receive Coventry renewal commission payments, brokers
and agents must be appointed by Coventry, licensed by the State(s)
(if applicable), and successfully complete annual certification for
the corresponding Coventry Medicare product. According to CMS,
Coventry must not pay agents who are no longer appointed to sell in
the State (if required). Refer to CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines
for more information, including Sections 20, 120.5.6 and 120.6

(“Has a physician recommended the purchase of a hearing aid?”) , the client
will be sent an exception notice that new
hearing aids won’t be covered in the first year.
So that fact needs to be disclosed, but no rider needs to be attached to the
application.
